SMS Terms

These terms apply to the ServePoint Account Security Texts text message program, operated by ServePoint, Inc.

Effective date: September 29, 2026

1. Program

ServePoint Account Security Texts sends one-time verification codes by text message. A code lets you sign in to ServePoint software, or finish setting up two-step verification, when you have chosen text messages as your verification method.

The program is for people who use ServePoint software: restaurant owners, managers and staff, and ServePoint's own team. Each text goes only to the mobile number you entered for your own account. We do not send marketing or promotional messages under this program.

2. How You Opt In

You can choose text messages for verification codes in these places:

  • the restaurant admin portal, when you set up two-step verification at sign-in, or later in your security settings or profile;
  • the employee portal, during onboarding or in your account security settings;
  • the ServePoint manager and employee mobile apps, in security settings;
  • the ServePoint staff portal, at sign-in or in your account settings.

Each of these screens shows your mobile number and a consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. Beside the checkbox, the screen explains what you will receive and how often, states that message and data rates may apply, tells you to reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel, and links to these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy. This checkbox is separate from any other terms you accept. We send a code only after you tick the box and ask for one.

Texts are optional. You can use an authenticator app or email for verification codes instead.

The first text after you opt in contains your setup code and confirms that you chose texts for ServePoint sign-in codes, with the rates, HELP and STOP information.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You receive one text each time you sign in with text verification or set it up, and one more each time you ask for a new code. We send no other texts under this program.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan with your carrier for details.

5. How to Stop Texts

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from this program. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. You will receive one text confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no more texts after that.

After you opt out we cannot text you verification codes. To keep signing in, switch your verification method to an authenticator app or email in your account security settings. If you can no longer sign in, contact us using the details in Section 6. To receive texts again, reply START.

6. Help and Support

Reply HELP to any message for help. You can also contact ServePoint support:

7. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy

Mobile information and opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We never sell or rent your mobile number or your consent. We share your mobile number only with the messaging provider that delivers these texts for us. Read our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

9. What This Program Does Not Cover

This program covers only the verification codes described above. Texts that a restaurant sends to its own guests, such as order updates, are not part of this program. If a restaurant offers texts like these, it asks for your consent separately, and that restaurant's own terms and privacy policy apply.

10. Effective Date and Changes

These terms are effective as of September 29, 2026. We may update them from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date.
